Recommendations

  • Recommendation #1a

    To address the concerns identified in this report, we recommend that the Manager of the Bay Area Site Office develop and implement a corrective action plan to ensure that Berkeley Laboratory maintains an accurate CMS database for tracking changes in hazardous material inventories, that is sufficient for the Emergency Management Program to execute the hazardous material screening process.

    To address the concerns identified in this report, we recommend that the Manager of the Bay Area Site Office ensure that Berkeley Laboratory develops a plan to incrementally complete building emergency plans for all occupied buildings at Berkeley Laboratory and develops a process to periodically review/update building emergency plans for accuracy and completeness.
